  • Steph G-- any info would be Nice :) Jay M-- Yap Cugtas Great place it is the most vegetation in Oahu due to elevation. It has that small town feeling. I used to live in Kailua and with Schofield you have Eva and North Shore only minutes away. Mellissa S--Just got here last month and love it so far! Send housing your hubby's orders now so you can get on the wait list. We've been on since June and don't have housing until Sept. Danielle H-- I herd the waiting list was crazy we are calling asap tomorrow!!! Then calling the Inn because I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time there. Duena P-- It's a nice base the housing you can get AMR or on base I live the commissary but prefer the navy exchange at pearl harbor! If moving into AMR make sure you ask for the makalapa school it's really good! Not sure about the schools on schofield! So much to do in hawaii we just left after 13 years! Inbox me I will help both of you Mellissa S-- Only thing with staying at the inn is you pay up front and then finance reimburses later whereas if you stay at an approved hotel off post they pay in advance with tla. Harrison P-- My husband and I will be going in May. Mellissa S-- I have two kids here with us ages 11 and 5 both on post schools. So far it's been good. Ps if you have school age kiddos they need a tb test prior to getting enrolled. Carie W-- It was my husbands first duty station. He said it is beautiful but expensive. Also depending on his MOS it has a high deployment rate. Kylee J-- Check out "hawaii military wives" page Kylee J-- Also theirs schofield barracks wives. Dont forget theres another base close base. Adria B-- Weird I'm in Hawaii now just been here for like 3 days and my husband went to housing and talked to one of his sergeant about the inn and he was told we wouldn't get reimbursement. So idk if its different for us cuz I'm not in his orders yet but I'd look into that as well. Heidi K-- Im at pearl harbor :) schofield is a good area because you are in the middle of the island so you have access to everywhere. Danielle D-- We currently live I'm aliamanu military reservation and love it....even though dh works at schofield he doesn't mind the commute. Michele P-- Just left there and miss it terrible!! Lived on Schofield. Feel free to message with any questions! :) Melanie M--Best duty station ever. Embrace the island lifestyle And make the most of it. Millilani and Ewa Beach areas are nice. Favorite beach is Bellows beach on the east side. Be sure to experience it all-- and have FUN... Aloha!! We lived on wheeler for 4 years and I loved every min. of it. There is so much to do there and the he weather is beautiful.
